The Cottages at Windermere House in Ontario has been added to Preferred Residences’ exchange network, timeshare owners have been told.

Located on Lake Rosseau in Canada’s Muskoka Region, the Windermere House Resort is a mixed-use property with a fractional element comprising new waterfront cottages.

Onsite amenities include three restaurants, a fitness centre, beach and boat slips.

Timeshare owners spending time at the resort can also enjoy some golf at Windermere Golf Course and a spa is on offer also.

The Cottages at Windermere House are to feature 2 and 3-bedroom units, where living space ranges from 1,500 to 1,900 sq ft.

David Gilbert, executive vice president of resort sales and marketing for Preferred Residences, said that the luxury resort is impressive.

He added that the resort is a great addition to the Preferred Residences network.

Preferred Residences is an exchange program for shared-ownership resorts offered by a subsidiary of Interval Leisure Group, which recently announced that its consolidated revenue for the second quarter of 2009 stood at $98.8 million (£59.97 million).

In this downward spiraling economy this is a strong sign that Preferred Residences is positioned to see continued growth.
